How Basically
Static is built

RULE / 01

Sensitive skin first

This line started with skin in mind. Soft-touch fabrics, smooth inside, nothing scratchy doing the talking. If it doesn’t feel right on skin, it doesn’t carry the name.

RULE / 02

The name is not the color

It began as “Basic Grey” — then the name grew up. Basically Static is the signal, not a shade. Grey, galaxy, steel-blue, hot pink: the static runs through all of it.

RULE / 03

A set is a set

The hoodie and the joggers are designed together — same print, same energy, head to ankle. You don’t have to hunt for the match. It was born matched.

The story · Straight, no static

Started in Toledo.
Built to be worn.

Basically Static is Sylvia T Mathews’ clothing company — 100% hers. It launched as a sensitive-skin design line in October 2026 and became an Ohio LLC on October 15. This site is the brand's showcase: the designs live here, and each one is bought through its listing on the maker site that makes it — Kin Custom for the sets, Printful for the galaxy pieces. Pieces without a live listing yet are marked Coming Soon. Books, songs, and stories live under the same roof — this is the clothing arm, and it moves first.

This website does not take orders itself — it links out. Each home for the line does what it does best: sets go where all-over-print sets live, galaxy goes where the hoodies print cleanest, and when a listing is live, the Buy button on that design takes you straight to it. TikTok Shop joins once the LLC paperwork lands there.
